The Feel Good Vibes of Content Creation
How to keep your sanity as a Content Creator and have fun doing chores
Yesterday, I had a call with Geri, the man behind Stroncton, a boutique design and clothing brand. Currently, they are undertaking a daily content challenge on Instagram to add personality to their brand.
One concern Geri has is whether it is acceptable to mix German and English in their reels.
The question of which language to use often arises for European creators and it significantly impacts the audience reach of their content. On IG specifically, I have noticed numerous channels that successfully blend languages without any negative effects. Ultimately you can always include English subtitles if you prefer speaking in your native language.

How to keep your sanity as a Content Creator?
It’s evident that mental health issues are significantly higher among content creators compared to the general population. One reason for this could be that many of us are misfits in regular society, finding it challenging to fit into traditional career paths. It’s this non-traditional view of work and education that drives us to create content in the first place, but it’s also often why creators are predisposed to feelings of burnout, anxiety, and depression.
In this episode of Creator Science, Dr. K discusses the reasons for this and ways to handle emotional volatility better.
My personal key takeaways are to only look at analytics after posing a clear question that the numbers can answer; otherwise, I’m just hunting for dopamine.
Secondly, it’s quite common to attribute wins to luck but blame ourselves for failure. He suggests that at the very least, you should put them on the same level and attribute well-performing videos to your own actions and celebrate those wins.

A Dream Studio Come True
In this build-out video, Jordan Studdard unveils his dream studio, that is straight out of a of a 12-year-old's imagination. Not only did he fit a workshop and a whimsical library into this NYC studio space, but also an actual airplane for editing. On a meta level, it’s fascinating to see how many creators are still inspired by Casey Neistat.
While this level of compartmentalizing might be a bit much for the average home studio, I highly recommend creating dedicated spaces to keep you focused and organized.
Pancakes and House Music
Last weekend I discovered Flavor Trip, a House Music DJ Duo traveling around Europe. Together they regularly drop feel good grooves that are perfect for all the chores you keep pushing off.
While their music undeniably takes center stage in their hour-long mixes, it's their vibrant personalities that truly shine. With an effortless charm, they draw you in, creating an intimate atmosphere akin to hanging out with friends. As they cook, dance and share bits of conversations as subtitles, their presence adds an extra layer of fun to the experience.
So, if you find yourself facing a weekend of cleaning and tidying up, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Flavor Trip a listen to make your chores feel like a party.
