Can You Get Millions of Views Accidentally? Issue#30

New Podcast Series, Epic Warehose and Plagiarism

Q: How do you keep going as a content creator When things get tough?
A: Collaboration.
Doing creative work alone is hard, so whenever I feel stuck or unsure I message a collaborator directly to ask for feedback. (That collaborator can even be your mom)

Can you get 500,000 views on your second video?

Lauro Dominici sure did, without any prior filmmaking experience.
It's not at all how he wanted to start. How it feels to get this much attention and the challenges that come with it are what we talked about in the latest audio only podcast.
It's the first installment of a series diving deep into the topic of blowing up on YouTube. Because there's so much information out there on getting views, but not enough on how to deal with that attention once you have it.

One thing Lauro did was answer every single comment to engage and help viewers. Not only did it create a sense of community, but it also led to an article about his setup in a Japanese magazine. And that's just one story to show—you never know what's possible before hitting publish.

Is this the largest Artist Space on YouTube?

Ten Hundred takes us on a tour of his massive warehouse studio space, one year after its dramatic transformation. It's fascinating to see how he's utilized every corner, transforming it from a dirty shell into a beautiful and functional creator space. Everyone working with him has a dedicated space and genuinely seems to enjoy being there.
I hope one day Orbit has a similar space for Creators like you.

Why Creators don’t innovate?

Jay Alto offers a nuanced perspective on plagiarism and its impact on the creative community. He acknowledges that imitation plays a role for beginners, helping them learn the ropes of content creation. However, Alto emphasizes the importance of progressing beyond imitation and knowing when to break the rules.

"Simple copying might be an easy way to get views, but how you acquire viewers and subscribers is far more important than just the numbers."

A key takeaway from his message is the importance of defining personal success as a creator. Understanding your own goals allows you to create with greater purpose and authenticity, ultimately setting yourself apart in a crowded space.
