Three letters keeping me sane
How this simple guideline gives me more time to focus on what matters
Hi Friend đź‘‹
I hope your March was as amazing as mine.
For the first time since starting this project in 2023 it feels like the momentum is carrying me forward rather than pushing a bolder uphill.
I successfully tested my 3 weeks on 1 week off schedule.
Published 2 podcasts, 1 React video, 16 shorts
Was a guest on Alex Antolino’s channel
Recorded 2 new podcasts and
Scheduled 2 more.
Posted the first guest article here by Tom Boyd.
Launched the Creator Orbit Community
But most importantly I finally found The Orbit Style.
Sparked by a collaboration on the banging intros with Lumen Studios I got a much better handle of what Orbit should look and feel like.
Some of it you’ve already seen in the intros and thumbnails but there is more to come.

The DTA Framework saving you from burnout
As solo creators you never run out of things to do. Ranging from big important projects spanning months to daily maintenance chores that might not move the needle but still need your attention.
To make sure nothing falls under the table and I keep my sanity, I’ve been following this simple 3 step process for the last 8 months.
DTA:
Document
Templatize
Automate
This comes from the Castmagic Podcast talking with Ken Yarmosh
Let’s look at the elements to show how and why this will help you create more with less.
Document what you do a few times a month.
That allows you to understand your workflows and identify areas for improvement.
By documenting, you create a repeatable process that can be followed consistently, reducing errors and improving efficiency. Laying the groundwork for templating and automation.
But most importantly it gives your brain a chance to rest.
Instead of remembering every single step you have to take from filming to publishing a video it can refer to a list set up by past you.
Making each step a little more effortless.
The first thing I documented was my editing workflow. Allowing me to turn an hour long conversation into 30 minutes of content in half the time it used to take.
Templatize what you do multiple times a week
Creating templates ensure consistency and reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks.
It takes the documentation from step one and turns it into a reusable asset that help you reduce errors, maintain quality and leads to an overall more efficient work flow. It frees up your time to focus on more strategic and high-impact activities. In essence, templating allows for scalability without necessarily increasing headcount and turning you into a manager.
Enabling you to grow sustainably.
My most frequently used template is the notion template I’m using right now to write this newsletter every week in an hour.
Giving me a fixed starting point to start working from.
Automate what you do daily
Automation takes the burden of doing the annoying but crucial tasks that might not even take up much time but consume more brain power than you’d like. It is the key to have more output without hiring an assistant.
Giving you more time to focus your core creativity and insight.
This area is the least developed for me just because setting up those automatons can take time initially but they pay off tenfold. The easiest one I set up was a simple email responder to a very comment question I got for a digital product.
Have you taken any of these steps yet? If not I encourage you to just simply note down the steps you take to create your work. Put it in a list you can easily reference and you’ll see the benefits of it almost immediate.
My favorite things this week
After a year long break Joakim Karud is back with a very vibey sonata new you can freely use in your videos. Just follow the instructions in the description.
In case you missed it:
⬅️ Last week it was all about interest over avatars.
➡️ Next week I can hopefully share the YouTube Info Grabber with you.
