What you need to know about AI as a creator
AI for Creators, Matt is back and Gratitude
First of all thank you for all the thoughtful replies on last weeks newsletter! It showed me that opening up like that can build a whole new level of connection, even if it feels quite embarrassing.
I’ve now spent a whole week without socials on my phone and I gotta say barely even noticed. One evening I really wanted to just sit on the couch and scroll — instead I grabbed a pen and doodled. The down side is I can’t really share stories on IG about little things or new videos …

How To Use AI As Creator?
It was the middle of May when I sat in a hotel room in Hamburg, watching the announcements from OpenAI and Google I/O back to back. Both were touting the crazy possibilities of their new AI agents. At that moment, I knew I had to talk to someone who understands the subject from the inside and could give much needed perspective for creators.
So, it was quite fortunate that I met Nadia at one of our Creator Gatherings a week later. She’s been a developer, has experience creating on YouTube as well as LinkedIn, and has spent the last year becoming an expert in building AI-powered applications that help people.
What followed was this conversation, where we go into detail on best practices when using tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. In short, her advice is to:
Start a new conversation for each idea.
Set clear guidelines on tone, style, and personality.
Provide enough detail in the prompts for context.
Don’t create “mega prompts” with complicated instructions.
Use known references as starting points.
Use it to enhance what you already know.
If you want more than this checklist, I’ve put together a list of all the prompts and tools that help me create more consistently.

A Not So Minimalist Studio Tour
After taking a well-deserved break, Matt D’Avella is back in a new studio on a brand new channel.
You might know him as the guy who popularized minimalism on YouTube, talking endlessly about how less is more.
Now he is ready for a new chapter and a new style. In his own words:
In the past, I always went for white, bright, and modern. You know… minimalist. But I never entered those spaces feeling inspired to create.
So I decided to rethink my entire approach and embrace the nickname I was given years ago as “The Bad Boy of Minimalism”.
I said, "forget minimalism and just make it look dope."
It goes to show that no matter where you are on your journey, if you feel like something is off—change it up.
I thoroughly love his setup and can’t wait to see some interviews done in it.
(Maybe I should ask if I can come visit sometime 😅)
